Marnie (líder, compositora y voz del grupo), Chris Woltmann (guitarra y voz), Jeff Bauer (bajo y voz) y Dave Penna (Batería) nos traen desde Nueva York su propuesta musical.

Buen pop-rock que bien podría estar sustituyendo a los «B-52’s revueltos con Pixies» en este nuevo milenio: el sonido es fresco, sin pretensiones, hecho para divertir y mantenernos escuchando. Las letras son bastante inteligentes y también ayudan a mantenernos escuchando.

Con un sonido a veces retro, a veces punk, a veces rockero, combinado con la frescura y un ambiente jovial en general a pesar de lo depresivo de algunas letras: a veces rápido en tiempo (Gullible), otras no tanto (Remember) y otras más agradablemente lentas (que sin embargo, en algunas ocasiones cambian el tiempo de manera inteligente, como en Ashes) Bankhead intenta mantener un ritmo a lo largo del CD.

Sobresalen This Song, Ashes (una buena combinación de B-52’s y R.E.M. y créanme que no tiene nada que ver con «Shinny Happy People») y la entrada con Mildred Pierced.

Un CD para llevar en el carro cuando sales con tus amigos…

Lead singer and composer Marnie, guitar-man and vocalist Chris Woltmann, bass-man and vocalist Jeff Bauer, together with Dave Penna at drums bring us from New York their musical proposal.

Good pop-rock that can be the substitution of «the-B-52’s mixed with Pixies» at the beginning of the new milenium: a fresh sound, pretentiousless, made to entertain and keep us listening. The lyrics are smart and help keeping us listening.

With a music sometimes retro, sometimes punkish, other times rockish combined with a joyful and freshness mood (this although the sometimes depressing lyrics). Sometimes with upbeat tempo (Gullible), at times not so speedy (Remember) and ocassionaly delightfully slow (but changing the tempo, as in Ashes) Bankhead attempts to keep a pace through the CD. I think succesfuly.

The outstanding mentions: This Song, Ashes (a good mix of B-52’s and R.E.M. and it’s not any shinny happy people, believe me!) and the introduction of Mildred Pierced.
