Summer ends, it’s hot and humid at the same time…

Need energy to survive….

So here it goes….

• The Experimental Pop Band: Tarmac & Flames’ «Gothenburg» a somehow dark and energetic track with all the deutsche-talking in the background…. power beat. And also, «The Hippies Don’t Know» trying to emulate a retro-near-lounge pop, like that of the Aluminum Group, but more noisy… les elaborated… based on lo-fi trumpet loops… greeat!! Power pop or Rock if you wish
• The Fire Theft: The Fire Theft’s «Chain»… good voice, nice composition and performance… noisy, with chimes…. makes you cry «Chaaaaiiiiiinn» noticing that you have a lot to do with your voice… excelent CD, sticky track, very energetic, indie ROCK. Listen also to the interesting «Backwards Blues» nice job in using a backwards-played track to make a somehow noisy ethereal track.
• The Folk Implosion: Dare To Be Surprised’s «Insinuation», less energetic… bringin some kind of ethereal trance in a retro style. Just wanted to include it.
• Super Furry Animals: Phantom Power’s «Valet Parking», the nice sounding one here, along with the next one (the poppy parenthesis), SFA making a shift (as usual) from the Rings album…. really nice….
• Eels: Blinking Lights And Other Revelations’ «To Lick Your Boots»… beautiful song, simple and well crafted… the chorus, the lyrics, everything, one of the finest albums this year…. Ooooohh ooooooh!!
• The Receiving End Of Sirens: Between The Heart And The Synapse’s «This Armstice» and «Broadcast Quality»… hard rock, tending to metal with bits of prog track… excellent. A good recommendation for the hard styles….
• John Paul Jones: The Thunderthief’s «Hoediddle». You have to hear it…. different CD from Zooma, still Jones making a good record….coool….
